Downloading the Viewer Software

If you successfully registered, your confirmation e-mail should have given you a link to download the viewer. However that link can also be easily found as depicted below: Help > Downloads.


Go to www.SecondLife.com.

Click on "Help" in the upper right corner.

At the Second Life home page, click on "Help" in the upper right corner; it's just to the left of "Join Now."


From the drop down menu select, "Downloads."

Click on "System Requirements" to
check if your computer can run the viewer.

You could skip checking "System Requirements," and just try running the viewer. Even if your video card isn't a recommended one, it may still work, albeit without all the effects, or at lower resolution, or the viewer may crash occassionally.


If the screen is showing the correct
operating system, click "Download Now."

At the pop-up screen click "Save File."



When the download finishes, double click on the file name in the "Downloads" box to install it.

I was not able to install the viewer.

I was able to install the viewer,
now I want to learn to use it.
