Vesna Vendetta
Travels to Tatooine

High Priestess Vesna decided to accompany Lord Anubis, Father Flash, and Bill Rabinovitch on their pilgrimage to Tatooine, and they stopped to see an exoplanet along the way.

High Priestess Vesna steps forward, "You say you see no life forms, but the planet itself is a life form. Think Gaia. You're witnessing energy evolving into a planet. That evolving planet can be said to have will, and I can sense it does not will us to visit it. It's not a good idea to land on a planet where we're not invited. We have no right to assume we'd be welcomed."

"Don't worry, we don't intend to land here. We're just giving Bill a chance to sketch his first exo-planet," replies Germain.

"What if this planet doesn't want to be sketched?"

"You have to take risks to create new art." asserts Rabinovitch.

"I'm not in favor of taking this risk."

"Noted. I'll take responsibility for any consequences." concludes Germain.

The consequence of ignoring Vesna's advice almost proves fatal, when the exoplant is struck by a rogue planet.

Fortunately the ship escapes and eventually appraoaches another exoplanet. Vulcan soon looms large thru the windows.

Again Vesna objects, "Why are we invading another planet we haven't been invited to land on?"

"Haven't you learned anything from our close call at the first exo-planet?
Take my advice this time and don't go down there if we're not invited."

Vesna is again ignored, until a transmission from Vulcan warns, "Your ship is entering our airspace without permission.
Retreat or you will be removed!"

"If we survive this, Germain, I hope you'll learn to listen to my advice."

Fortunately they do survive and eventually arrive at a third exoplanet.

They observe there are no cities, but the trees are inhabited by sentient beings, much like on Pandora.

High Priestess Vesna Vendetta objects, "This is obviously an advanced culture, and we haven't been invited here, so we must look like invaders to them. I insist we leave immediately before we get into more trouble!"

"These people don't appear to have the sdvanced weapons we faced on Vukcan.
I'll take full responsibility for any risk," Germain rejoins.

However, a pirate ship emerges from behind a moon and locks a tractor beam them.

Vesna remarks, "If we had been invited to this exoplanet, Germain, they would have warned us about the pirates. Again you've taken full responsibility, so I can't wait to see how you're going to get us out of this trap,"

They do escape that trap, and eventually arrive near Tatooine. Germain announces, "Good work.
We'll wait for dark to land. The easy part is over Now we have to deal with this wretched hive of scum and villainy."

Vesna asks, "We are actually welcome here, aren't we?"

Germain replies, "Yes, I invited you, and I welcome you to Tatooine, but the Hutts might not be so friendly. therefore I'll land, Bill, Father Flash, Lord Anubis and you under cover of night, so you don't have to go thru customs. Trust me, you don't want to have to go thru Hutt customs."

Finally the ship lands on Tatooine in the dark of night, but will Germain learn to listen to Vesna before it's too late?
