Orthdoxy is its own bias of course. The question raised by the philosopher-- Bloom (The Closing of the American Mind [1989 or so]) is that each of these orthodoxies points in a different direction--NOT sall roads lead to Rome--so then the question is: "which one is right?"
The Buddhists believe they are. The shaman believes using the entrails of a chicken is the means to Truth or healing and the Christian believes that JC is "the way, the truth, and the life"
So now what?
