Dear Flash,

Let me start by saying that you are taking the quote from Ecclesiastes 1-9 (There is no new thing under the sun) too literal. To comply with that statement, a simplistic approach is through deductive reasoning. Therefore, one could say if God created man than whatever man creates would have already been in existence through the plan of God. By this logic, one could conclude that the modern technology of computer science is not new to us. I hope you can see my point.

As you probably can tell to further the discussion on this quote would be a lengthy dissertation. I am not willing to do that via an email.

However, What is most important for me to tell you here, is that if you choose to have a debate of the metaphysical nature you should not quote passages from the bible as your response to an idea or one's opinion. One of the goals of metaphysic is to decipher the bible for the layman.

Enough said here.

For the issue of equating mysticism with linguistic science, the answer is NO. Again, to make the matter simple, I should give you this parallel: Physic is a science; and to understand it the physicist make use of mathematics. I think you would agree with me that the science of physic does not equate that of mathematics.

Your email raises great questions. Thank you for sharing them with me.

My lecture on Mysticism is not available on line. It will be publish in the next issue of Creative Insight.

Best wishes, we have a lot to talk about.
