Steady State Theory
This site honors Hermann Bondi, Thomas Gold and Fred Hoyle
for their contribution to the study of cosmology by proposing the original
Steady State Theory in 1948.
We will argue that the extreme modificications of physics to permit the
Big Bang theory to work: a singularity, an inflationary period, and dark energy, warrant
re-considering what modifications are necessary to permit the Steady State Theory to
work. We will then compare those to the Big Bang theory, and using Occam's Razor, determine if
Steady State isn't really the more viable theory today.
